Working towards the Virtuous Cycle: latest research on trust & data sharing

Last week, after a very tasty bacon butty, I was sharing on the topics of Trust, Data Sharing & Identity Management, working towards recommending a Virtuous Cycle of improvement. All in the fine surroundings of the Royal Institute. It’s been a pleasure this year to partner with MyCustomer.com, to deliver a number of breakfast briefings. This one was more substantive, as it was also to reveal the findings of my latest.. Read More

Can FinTech have anything to do with Customer Insight?

Hot on the heels of my last post, recommending you reboot your thinking after your summer holiday, here’s another. Both another post & details of another event. For those of you more interested in the emerging world of FinTech & what that could mean for customer experience, read on. Last chance to attend #MSMS2015 on 1 July

Just a quick reminder that the MultiChannel Sales & Marketing Strategy business tour 2015 (#MSMS2015 on Twitter) is happening on 1-3 July at the Ampersand Hotel in London. I’ve shared previously some short interviews covering some of the topics I’ll be speaking on.. Read More

Global Reviews’ UK Digital Leaders Summit (#UKDLS)

Right from the start things boded well as they had chosen a different and engaging venue. Bounce (121 Holborn, London) is the official ‘home of ping-pong’ and is literally the place where the game was invented in 1901. This gave guests the promise.. Read More

Event: Analytics for Insurance, Europe 2014

This conference was well attended and lived up to it’s billing of attracting insurers, consultants and suppliers from across Europe. With approximately 200 attendees and representation from over 14 different countries, it was a lively and interesting event with strong audience participation. Six key themes emerged consistently during the day: a) try, try & try again; b) fail fast & fail cheaply; c) data is an asset, manage it as such; d) insight is.. Read More

Event: Insurance Data & Analytics 2014

This event organised by Post Magazine was pretty well attended by Insurers and their suppliers. Although the audience was pretty quiet during Q&A sessions after each speaker, there was plenty of time for questions and a good buzz of questions & ideas during the breaks. A good mix of presentations, interviews and panel sessions as well. With apologies to those who my failing memory has overlooked, here are my recollections:.. Read More

Getting the most out of conferences

I don’t know how many events you attend each year, but I can tell you as a speaker and an attendee, you do get out what you put in. Right now I’m creating slides and preparing stories to share at “Insurance Data & Analytics” in September and “Analytics for Insurance, Europe” in October. So, I really appreciated seeing this advice from Michael Hyatt:   As I prepare for 18 Sept event, liked this: “When.. Read More
